A new illustration

I have been obsessed with hot pressed paper lately. And with some illustrations sketches I’ve been working on. I’m still experimenting with large washes, but love the added texture, particularly to the clouds.

The illustration is available on my Etsy shop.

Sunday afternoon at the farm

Last week we spent our Sunday afternoon in one of our favourite places: the Garsons Farm in Esher. And although we don’t go there very often, we love this place! It is close to where we live, has miles of fields with all sort of vegetables and fruits, you can pick your own crop, spend some time outdoor and have fun with friends and family.
The weather was great, a bit cloudy but warm and that made our walk very much enjoyable and relaxing. Our little miss slept for half of the time, but when she woke up and realised we were out in the open picking strawberries she was so excited she kept smiling and dancing and shouting the entire time. We did have a bit of tasting in the field, which is really not allowed, but it is very tempting and how can you say no when your little start going around the fields and orchards and start picking strawberries and plums! We all had a wonderful time, laughs with friends and some family time. And enjoyed a freshly cooked minestrone soup as soon as we got home.
Already planning our next visit to stock up pumpkins for Halloween.

30 Days of Lists // September 2013 // Lists 21-30

And so this project has reached to an end. It feels like this month has gone by too quickly and I haven’t really savoured the daily prompts as much as I would have liked. But so glad I managed to do this once again. It gives me a nice feeling flicking through the pages of the mini book I created for this challenge. And reading back each and every day’s list gives me a new perspective about the month that has just passed. Sometimes I feel like I don’t have time to slow down and think, to enjoy life and to look at it from the outside, but looking back at the lists gives me a sense of accomplishment, a proof of my existence, the sensation that  this September has been a good month after all!
So here go the last 10 lists:

Hello October!

This month arrived with no warning what so ever. So today my brain started bursting with ideas, projects, things I would like to accomplish and so many other things it doesn’t take long to feel a bit depressed acknowledging that I’m, once again, loading myself with too much stuff I won’t be able to cross off my list. And yet, I can’t help but dreaming and keeping myself as busy as possible, and trying new things and working towards that indefinite goal that is living life to the fullest.

Happy October to you too!

39/52

It’s week 39 and I still love this project! It has been a quiet week this one. We are still enjoying some family time on wednesdays and thursdays when we are all at home, the mild temperatures and the slower pace of life.
This week you:
  • Insisted on wearing my scarf and you were so cool with it!
  • Learned so many new words. Our favourite is when you start jumping like mad shouting “balla, balla, balla!” (Dance, dance, dance!). And we got you in a video while you do that 🙂
  • Saw a comforter similar to yours (just a newer version) in the shop and you got so excited I had to buy it. But it was so worthy, as soon as you got it you started kissing it and made the two comforters kissing each other.
And my favourite from last week are the portraits from Twins, Plus One. Love the colours, the outdoor surroundings and Poppy’s gorgeous smile.
